manifesting faith through design

S2 has worked with many religious communities to help create a sense of place that manifests faith through the use of light, adornments, furnishings and natural materials. S2 understands that an inspiring religious structure must create a sacred place to be used for worship, both in private devotion and in public liturgy. The faith based building should be an important structure in the community. Its location and sitting should convey its lofty purpose.

The structure itself is an icon which denotes a house of faith or a sacred place of worship. Artwork, paintings, sculpture, mosaic glass work and the architecture itself is iconic — they tell the religious story. Through our experience, the building should inspire a sense of stability and strength – an organization rooted in continuity that supports a faith that is enduring and unshakable.
