S2 is proud to be participating again this year in the ACCA IQ 2016 Conference.

The Alberta Continuing Care Association (ACCA) has been hosting the Inspiring Quality Conference since 2011. This year, IQ 2016: Today’s Reality, Tomorrow’s Vision! featured an excellent and informative program and a tradeshow with over 70 exhibitors.

The conference is host to over 250 delegates and organizations that represent a true cross section of the continuing care industry including; consumers, service providers, healthcare professionals, retailers, architects, interior designers and industry representatives.

Participants at this year’s IQ Conference were provided information on current seniors programs and research, as well as the latest thinking, strategies, technologies and solutions to support independent living in the home and in the community. The conference also highlighted successful quality initiatives in Alberta and celebrates excellence in the industry.

As an exhibitor at this years tradeshow, S2 showcased its in depth knowledge and design expertise regarding seniors and the continuing care sector.

“S2 recognizes the social and economic impact the aging population will have on Alberta over the next 20 years, says Principal at S2, Robert Spaetgens. “There is a huge need for adequate senior housing and health services so we recognize that challenge faced by the continuing care industry.”

“The ACCA IQ Conference is a “must attend event” for any organization offering services to seniors living providers.” Spaetgens says, ” It is essential that design and planning for seniors is geared towards future needs and not simply providing sufficient solutions for current ones. We are passionate about making all of our seniors facilities not simply places to live, but places to thrive.”

The Alberta Continuing Care Association (ACCA) is a non-profit, voluntary organization representing the providers of continuing care services in Alberta. Since 1981, the ACCA has strived to advance excellence in Alberta’s continuing care system. Their role is to communicate the issues and ideas of their members, as they meet with key government and industry decision makers and other stakeholders and participate in committees and advisory groups. The ACCA collaborates with other associations and organizations in Alberta and across Canada, to share information, ideas and resources.
