S2 Architecture is looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Contract Administrator to join our dynamic team in our Vancouver studio. 

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic individual with exceptional organizational skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.

This position recognizes a very high level of experience in the construction end of the architectural business. The Construction Administration position specializes in bringing the project from the contract documentation stage through the construction phase to complete commissioning and operation of the building. This position requires that a person have an extensive working knowledge of the Building Code, Building Sciences, Industry Construction Standards and the ability to interface with the Client, Architect, and Contractor. The individual must have on-site construction experience and be knowledgeable in architectural construction administration procedures such as RFI’s, PCN’s, CO’s, etc.

Education & Experience
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience
  • Related Post-secondary education or a combination of direct construction experience and education, may be considered
  • Certified Construction Contract Administrator would be an asset
  • Membership in a relevant professional association would be an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of construction and consulting contracts
  • Advanced knowledge of project design process, creative detailing, specifications and overall building systems
  • Advanced knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit experience would be an asset
Qualifications
  • Architectural CA experience a must
  • On-site construction experience
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of construction and consulting contracts
  • Advanced knowledge of project design process, creative detailing, specifications and overall building systems
  • Advanced knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
