Bayside School was commissioned by Alberta Infrastructure and completed in August 2022. The 4,114 square meter educational institution embodies core principles such as safety, comfort, flexibility, movement, transparency, sustainability, and a profound connection to nature.
When conceptualizing Bayside School, we aimed to create a dynamic learning environment capable of adapting to the community’s evolving needs. We carefully balanced a compact layout with the inclusive attributes that define an effective learning setting. Our design approach involved a thorough analysis of the programmatic and technical design standards set by the Calgary Board of Education and Alberta Infrastructure, and we consistently exceeded their expectations.
Our team collaborated with CANA Construction to ensure the efficient management of critical aspects such as permitting, construction documentation, and construction administration. Despite facing a demanding timeframe, our dedicated team skillfully coordinated the project schedule and crafted the drawing package, guaranteeing the precise delivery of every project component.
