The design concept of this multi-family development promotes a pedestrian-oriented environment with main floor at-grade access activating the courtyard and street, and the courtyard adjacent to the laneway promotes activity.
A contemporary pallet of earth tones has been used in the design – white masonry block is used for the base, which steps up a level at the two grand entry lobbies. Red brick wraps the building’s centre while recessed balconies create vertical segments to enhance distinction between units. Fibre reinforced cementitious panels can be found throughout and is most prominent on the top floor.
This 96-unit development includes 17 units funded under CMHC’s National Housing Strategy for accessible, universal, and adaptable requirements.
