Project Description
The Pason Centennial Arena involved the expansion of an existing arena in Okotoks with a 4,444 sq.m. addition that houses one NHL sized rink with spectator seating and a leisure ice surface with fireplace and skate change areas. The new expansion will also include multipurpose rooms, change rooms, washrooms with a direct connection to the original arena and community centre. This design-build project will be a combination of conventional construction and a per-engineered structure connecting to the existing buildings. The $22,000,000 Pason expansion project began in 2016 and is currently under construction and scheduled to be complete in 2018.
This project had us working in a design build relationship with Scott builders. The entire consulting team was on board with the contractor and the owner (Town of Okotoks) from the very beginning.
