Opened in 1972, the Canyon Meadows Aquatic & Fitness Centre has been serving this southwest neighbouring community for more than 40 years.
To meet current as well as future user requirements and expectations, the S2 Team was engaged to expand and renovate the existing facility to update facility amenities and to create new and improved user space, ensuring that the facility continues to provide value for Calgarians through a diversity of programming and fitness opportunities.
The scope of work for the project included an expanded lobby and entrance area, an expanded fitness centre, group exercise room and multi-purpose room, the addition of an elevator and a reconstructed hot tub and steam room as well as an exterior envelope replacement to update the overall aesthetic of the facility.
