S2 Architecture has been honoured with two Alberta Masonry Design Awards awards:
- Presidential Award – Award of Excellence – Windermere Fire Station No. 31
- Award of Excellence Gold – Adhered Masonry Veneer Commercial – Christie Crossing
These awards, presented by the Alberta Masonry Council, celebrate outstanding achievements in masonry design and construction across Alberta.
Windermere Fire Station No. 31
This innovative fire station is designed for long-term sustainability and is expected to produce as much energy as it uses, even 35 years into the future! Its unique shape maximizes solar energy generation, and careful collaboration has created a highly efficient space for firefighters.
Christie Crossing
Christie Crossing was thoughtfully designed to integrate into its surroundings while preserving the area’s character. We aimed to positively contribute to the neighbourhood by blending modern and traditional architecture that honours local heritage and provides modern amenities. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, Christie Crossing promotes a strong sense of community with communal spaces for residents to gather, engage in activities, and form meaningful connections.
