A Sanctuary of Healing and Hope
In collaboration with Wellspring Calgary, S2 designed the Randy O’Dell House as a warm, welcoming environment for individuals and families affected by cancer—one of Alberta’s first facilities targeting WELL Building Standard Silver certification.
Transforming a 1,100 m² space, the project balances a residential feel with commercial functionality, prioritizing wellness through thoughtful design aligned with WELL principles, including air, light, comfort, and mind. Natural light, health-conscious materials, and carefully curated interiors create a calming, home-like atmosphere.
Purpose-driven spaces—such as lounges, counselling rooms, art and fitness areas, and a community kitchen—are complemented by an expansive garden, offering opportunities for connection, reflection, and support.
