The Founding Partners Award was established in 2020 following the retirement of S2 co-founder Robert (Bob) Spaetgens.
Throughout his career, Bob believed that investing in people was one of the most important responsibilities of leadership. He championed mentorship, encouraged continuous learning, and understood that the long-term success of any organization depends on developing the next generation of talent.
Today, the Founding Partners Award serves as a lasting tribute to the values Bob helped instill within the firm: curiosity, initiative, leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Each year, the award recognizes an individual who demonstrates exceptional promise and exemplifies these traits.
