Laurel Cox is the recipient of the 2025 Founding Partners Award! This prestigious award recognizes individuals who embody S2 Architecture’s core values and significantly contribute to the firm and its culture. Laurel joined S2 Architecture in the fall of 2018, coming directly from NAIT. Even from her initial interview, her energy and passion were evident.

Laurel has contributed to key projects at S2 Architecture, including Commerce Place, Brownlee Building, Maplewood Fire Station, SPSY, and Glacier Ridge. Her role in the design of the millwork at Commerce Place was recognized with an OMEC award.

Throughout her time at S2, Laurel has consistently exemplified the firm’s values:

Laurel is an emerging leader at S2 Architecture, going beyond her project work. She encourages an inclusive, supportive environment and shows confidence when tackling challenges. She is always willing to share her perspective and focuses on improving processes and projects.
