S2 provided consulting services for Fire Hall No. 1, including fire operations, headquarters, the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), and Community Services. The station is located in a sensitive rural area and must adequately address the needs of the surrounding farmlands, overland stormwater drainage, and a nearby winery.
The project involved confirming the programming, code requirements, and design while balancing the sometimes conflicting needs of various stakeholders. It also included the functional requirements for the fire hall, a conceptual site plan, a conceptual floor plan, building design and finishes, a summary of building systems, and estimates for hard and soft costs.
